Fire Extinguishers
Due to their mobility, fire extinguishers are crucial to stop fires at their root. Our team of fire protection specialists will evaluate your facility to make sure you have the correct fire extinguisher types and sizes where they need to be for code compliance and proper protection. In addition, we can provide live extinguisher training so that your team knows how to use the fire extinguishers in the event they are needed.

Extinguisher Types
ABC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguishers use monoammonium phosphate dry chemicals on class A, B, and C fires.
BC Dry Extinguishers have siliconized sodium bicarbonate that makes them ideal for flammable liquid and pressurized gas fires, and is electrically non-conductive. Also, the chemical does not bake to hard surfaces.
CO2 Fire Extinguishers have the advantage of being electically non-conducive and are an ideal candidate for Class B and C liquid fires.
Water Mist Fire Extinguishers use deionized water from a nozzle that sprays to prevent electric shock, enhance cooling and soaking ability, and reduce burning material from scattering. Therefore, they are ideal for clean rooms, hospitals, libraries, and document storage.
Wet chemical fire extinguishers are ideal for Class K fires, such as those in kitchens, due to their fine mist that helps prevent grease splash and fire reflash. Additionally, their low pH potassium acetate agent aids in saponification and cooling of grease and protects stainless steel surfaces.
Halotran Fire Extinguishers discharge a rapidly evaporating, non-conductive, residue-free hydrochlorofluorocarbon liquid. They are ideal for Class A, B and C fires. In addition, they make a good choice for electronic equipment, motors, and machinery due to the minimal residue they leave.
AFF Extinguishers expand less than other foams, but grow enough to quickly cover large areas, and are very mobile due to their low viscosity.
Furthermore, many of these types of fire extinguishers are also alcohol-resistant (AR-AFFF) and form films that protect against the reaction of alcohols in fires. Or film-forming fluoroprotein fire extinguishers (FFFP,) which are alcohol-resistant, create a fire-preventing vapor barrier, and generally have better blanket life, knockdown and are more resistant to oil contamination. They are ideal for alcohols, polar solvents and hydrocarbons.
In addition, these protein foams are biodegradable, durable, and from plant sources.
