KLR Fire and Security will schedule and provide training classes as a service to our customers on how to operate the fire equipment.
Some facilities, such nursing homes, are required by the state to provide regular training for the employees on how to operate fire equipment.
Identifying the different classes of fire and when to use which equipment.
Class B fires are made up of flammable and combustible liquid. Typically, they are hot and fast growing. The fire is difficult to extinguish unless the proper fire extinguishers are used. We train employees on how and when to use the fire extinguishers.
Live Demonstration
During our training programs we can prepare a class B fire outside and have the employees role play and learn to operate the fire extinguishers. We will utilize the acronym PASS for using the fire extinguisher:
P – Pull the lockpin from its place
A – Aim the nozzle at the base of the flames
S – Squeeze the handles together
S – Sweep from side to side at the base of the flames
We work to develop the evacuation program and will facilitate fire drills as needed.
